Which to choose
Choose RepairDesk if
- You sell phones, accessories or parts over the counter and need a POS, cash register and stock counts
- You need SMS, a card terminal, QuickBooks or Xero, or an API today
- You run several stores and want one system across them
- You want someone to move your data for you, and phone support
Choose Repair Karte if
- You want to start free (up to 100 repairs a month) or pay $25 a month for up to 3 people
- You mainly track repairs and keep customers informed, and keep your current register for retail
- You take repairs by mail and want that from $25 a month
- You repair things other than phones (instruments, watches, shoes, bags, bicycles, cameras, clothing) and want one simple record per repair
Repair Karte is also not a good fit for: manufacturers' service departments that need approval steps between departments; on-site and field service: dispatching technicians to customers' homes or businesses; shops whose main need is retail: product inventory, a register, and selling goods; shops that need their own custom repair statuses or a workflow designer; shops that need SMS, WhatsApp, a card terminal, or an accounting or API connection today; working without an internet connection.
Switching from RepairDesk
Export your tickets and customers from RepairDesk as CSV or Excel, and import both files into Repair Karte on any plan. Repair Karte reads the column names, shows you a preview before anything is saved, skips rows it already has, and does not message your customers. Up to 2,000 rows at a time.
You can run both side by side while you decide: try Repair Karte on a few new repairs first. Try a practice shop without signing up, or start free.
