I moved the status forward by mistake
Use "◀ Move back" on the ticket to go back one step. You can press it as many times as you need. When the status is "Estimated", use "Withdraw final estimate"
I can't find an old repair in the list
The list only shows active repairs. Press "Show all" or "Show archive too", or open it from search or the repair history in Customers. Your data hasn't been deleted
I sent an estimate with the wrong amount
Fix it with "Edit final estimate" on the ticket. The corrected version is resent automatically, and the customer needs to approve it again
I made a mistake at checkout
Open the sale in POS and press "Void sale" (shop admins only). The repair stays picked up, so move it back with "◀ Back" on the ticket. When items are returned, record the quantity with "Record a return" and they go back into stock
The stock count is wrong
In "Items & stock", press the item and enter the current count with "Stocktake", or count everything at once with "Stocktake" at the top right (Chapter 8)
Printing isn't working
For a receipt printer, open "Payments & printing" → "Receipt printer (thermal)" in Settings and press "Open Quick Setup" to find the cause with a test print. The mPOP prints through the free iPad app "Star PassPRNT", and 80mm models print through the printer's driver on the computer. If the left or right edge is cut off on 80mm paper, set the scale to "Fit to page" in the print dialog. If you're in a hurry, "Print on a regular printer" (A4) prints the same content. Regular printer pages are made into a PDF first, so they print at the same size and layout on any device. Receipts after a POS sale and closing receipts are printed from this PDF too. If the PDF doesn't open on an iPad or with "Open PDF", check that the browser isn't blocking pop-ups (new tabs)
A customer can't find their repair when looking it up by phone number
Customer lookups need the phone number written the same way it was registered (with or without hyphens, etc.). The QR code on the check-in ticket or the link in a notification will always work
I deleted a ticket by mistake
Right after deleting, use "Undo" at the top of the repair list. Later on, within 30 days, press "Restore" under "Deleted tickets" on the "Backup" screen, and it comes back with its photos and timeline
I forgot my password
You can reset it from "Forgot your password?" on the login screen. A shop admin can reset staff passwords from "Users"
I want to change or check my plan
You can change it at any time from "Plan & billing" in Settings (shop admins only)
I want to change the completion notice for each customer
Write what you want each customer to know in the ticket's "Repair report / diagnosis for customer" and press "Save report". If you save it before marking the work as done, the diagnosis and care advice are included in the completion email as a "Message from" your shop. Anything written later can be read in the report on the customer page, opened from the link in the notice. The opening line of the notice is the same for every shop, and the bottom of the email shows the shop name, address, phone number, hours and closed days from "Shop info" in Settings
The customer doesn't use a smartphone
Just call them as you always have. Keeping records and managing the list is useful enough on its own. You can start notifications little by little with the customers who can receive them

Press Rikarte, our mascot at the bottom right of the screen, to ask us anything at any time (on a phone, the speech-bubble button in the top bar next to the menu button). "Contact us" in the side menu opens the same window. Our team replies to you personally. It may take a little while to get back to you. When a reply or a message from our team arrives, a number appears on Rikarte (or the speech-bubble button on a phone). If you haven't read it on screen yet, we also let you know by email. Rikarte doesn't appear on the new check-in screen or in the practice shop (you can still open the window from "Contact us" in the side menu). Questions about settings or how to use a screen are welcome too. You can also reach us by email at info@repairkarte.com.

At the top of the window you can switch between "Ask AI" and "Ask our team". "Ask AI" answers right away based on this user guide (each answer ends with links to the sections that explain it in detail). Besides how-to questions, it can help with running your shop, such as drafting messages to customers, thinking through how to price repairs, or organizing your workflow, and suggests features that fit. AI can't see your shop's data, so send questions about your plan, your data or problems with "Ask our team". If the AI's answer doesn't solve it, press "Ask our team" under the answer to move the same question into a message to our team.

NoteAI answers can be wrong. Before anything important, check the linked section of the guide too. Please don't include customer names, phone numbers or other personal details in your question. Conversations with AI aren't added to your support history and disappear from the screen when you close the browser tab (questions and answers also reach our team, and we use them to improve the guide and the answers). There is a daily limit on AI questions.
